About me
Time to introduce myself! I’m Miranda. Graduated practitioner since 2017. And passionate about Ayurveda. Because it’s so in tune with nature. For it is nature. Because it is logical. And yet at the same time very intuitive. Because it is very easy to apply. Because it makes you enjoy life. Well, I think I made my point… passionate it is ;).
In fact ever since I, years ago after a long period of challenges with my own health, read my first book about this traditional healing art. And felt: ‘Whoa, this is what I have been looking for!’ A manual on who I am in the core of my being, about how my individual body and mind operate and interact in a unique way with my surroundings. This knowledge gave me the opportunity to make conscious decisions throughout daily life that support my health, something I had fruitlessly been looking for up till then. It didn’t take long for me to, bit by bit, apply what I read and integrate it into my own life. This by now gives me a broad array of personal experience on the matter.
The results I achieved motivated me to enroll in the four-year college education on Ayurvedic medicine in 2013. A few years of intense studying (Ayurveda and fundamentals of modern medicine and psycho-social healing), internships in India, supplementary courses and acquiring life experience later, at the beginning of 2018 the time had come to start my own practice.
AyurJoya. Loosely translated as ‘Enjoy life’ or ‘Joy for life’. A name that was not accidently picked. As it, during the time I completed college, became more and more clear to me what it is that I want to work on with you during our consultations: a body and mind in balance, so you can get in touch with the pure joy that’s within you! A playful reminder of what inspires me to undertake this new adventure in my life it is.
And full of enthusiasm I dive into this adventure. As it opens up a wonderful new world: the opportunity to share Ayurvedic knowledge, to continue learning about this inspiring wisdom and to travel, gain new experiences that give me the chance to continuously develop myself, as practitioner and as human being.
So there it is. My story in a nutshell..
Hope to learn about yours soon!
